Accessibility
Last reviewed 2 July 2026 ยท Target: WCAG 2.1 Level AA
SoftwareConvene โ including ClassConvene, TeamConvene, FundCatalyst, and the tools within them โ is built to be usable by everyone, including people who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, or other assistive technology. Accessibility is part of how we build, not an afterthought.
Conformance status
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Our staff-facing pages have been reviewed against WCAG 2.1 A and AA โ both by hand and with the axe automated testing engine โ in light and dark mode, and pass with no known violations. This is an ongoing commitment: we re-check as we ship new features.
What's built in
- Full keyboard access โ every interactive control is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a clearly visible focus outline.
- Skip to content โ a "Skip to main content" link is the first stop on every page.
- Screen-reader support โ meaningful labels on form fields and icon buttons, proper landmarks and heading order, and descriptive names for controls.
- Colour contrast โ text and controls meet the AA contrast ratio in both light and dark themes.
- Dark mode โ a ๐ toggle in the header; your choice is remembered.
- Reduced motion โ if your device is set to reduce motion, animations and transitions are minimised automatically.
- Resizable text โ the layout works with browser zoom and larger text sizes.
Your device's tools work too
Because the site is built on clean, standard markup, the accessibility tools you already use work here as intended โ browser zoom, your operating system's high-contrast and text-size settings, and screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS, or TalkBack. We intentionally do not use a third-party "accessibility overlay" widget, which can interfere with those tools.
Known limitations
We're candid about where work remains:
- Some embedded third-party content (for example, partner forms) is outside our direct control and may not fully conform.
- Public websites that teams build with our site builder depend partly on the content each team adds; we provide accessible templates and guidance.
- Generated or uploaded documents (PDFs) may vary in accessibility.
We're actively working to reduce these gaps.
